Through open homes events Bristol Green Doors brings together householders and organisations from across the city to celebrate the homes that people are making fit for the future. We enable visitors to talk and listen to those who have made their homes energy smart, more comfortable, cleaner for the environment and cheaper to heat. 

These events are run to encourage the uptake of retrofitting or refurbishment of local homes. As visitors go on to make their own homes better as a result of what they learn, we are also contributing to an area of our local economy which is expected to grow significantly over the coming years.

By working closely with the householders, commercial and not-for-profit organisations, we are steadily developing a resource that will be of benefit to our city for years to come. This website includes many case studies of the homes featuring products, suppliers and contractors used on the Homes or themed Event pages. Bristol Green Doors let the householders speak for themselves - we do not offer advice on retrofitting other than encouraging people to attend our popular events.
