Hello...
Welcome to our website
Bristol Green Doors brings together householders and organisations from across the city to celebrate the homes that people are making fit for the future.
Through open homes events we enable visitors to talk and listen to those who have made their homes energy smart, more comfortable, cleaner for the environment and cheaper to heat. These events are run to encourage the uptake of retrofitting or refurbishment of local homes. If you want an idea of what a Bristol Green Doors event is like, why not look at tour film (see the panel on the left).
Our next city-wide event is on September 28-29th 2013; we are currently recruiting householders, if you're interested in taking part then please see our 'Events' page.
Visitors will have the opportunity to make their own homes better as a result of what they learn during the event, we are also contributing to an area of our local economy which is expected to grow significantly over the coming years with the government's forthcoming Green Deal.
Please note; Bristol Green Doors let the householders speak for themselves - we do not offer direct advice on retrofitting other than encouraging people to attend our popular events and some basic information on our Next Steps pages (see left) or click here. For advice on energy efficiency measures call the CSE Home Energy Team - “offers free advice on domestic energy use to householders in Bristol, Somerset and South Gloucestershire” on 0800 082 2234.
