The Weekend
On September 11th and 12th over 50 people will open their homes showcasing no-cost to high-cost measures that reduce domestic energy consumption and promote low-carbon living.
Visitors will see and discuss the retrofitting work with the householders and learn from their experiences about what it is like living in a lower energy home either as owners, tenants or landlords. Individual home information sheets will be available to take away.

The weekend will work with clusters of homes in neighbourhoods centred around hubs such community centres, cafes, churches or libraries. The hubs will feature information about Bristol Green Doors, the work done on the local homes and provide maps for each neighbourhood to be taken away.

Opening times are between 10.00 and 13.00 and 14.30 and 17.30 on Saturday and Sunday. All homes will be open for a minimum of two sessions over the weekend.
How it will work. All homes are free to visit and will have information sheets on the homes which you can take away. Householders will be showing people around the homes in groups and will be assisted on the day by a Bristol Green Doors volunteer.
