The Hubs

The homes are in neighbourhood clusters centred around a hub (a community centre, cafe, church etc). The hubs will be a local context for each neighbourhood providing local maps to take away, displays, and other local community information.

As well as hubs in the neighbourhoods there are three centrally based hubs at the Ecohome at the CREATE centre, the Architecture Centre and the new Coexist shop.

The Create centre’s Ecohome (Bristol’s sustainable show home designed by Bruges Tozer architects) demonstrates a wealth of low impact materials and building techniques and features an organic and wildlife-friendly garden. Ecohome volunteers are on hand to answer questions. Additional information is available in the Ecohome’s sustainable construction resource room, and in Create’s eco-reference library.
