Bristol Green Doors open weekends are an opportunity to visit homes which have been made more comfortable, cheaper to heat and kinder to the environment. To see what can be done in a home just like yours, and hear from people who have already gone through the process.
Since 2010 thousands of people all over Bristol have visited green open homes at these free events, finding inspiration and real-life tips that they have gone on to use in their own homes.
As of 2018 Bristol Green Doors is run by Bristol-based charity, the Centre for Sustainable Energy, with funding from government as part of a new initiative called Futureproof.
Futureproof offers homeowners and contractors in the West of England a much needed independent, impartial and supportive service to help them carry out energy saving home improvements and refurbishments with confidence.
Find out more about Futureproof here.
The last open homes weekend was on 11-12 May 2019
12 homeowners across the city opening their doors to welcome hundreds of visitors into their homes and share their experience of installing a range of energy saving improvements.
Check out the video below to see a snippet of what went on over the weekend.
Plans for the next event are already underway and you can stay up to date with our events by signing up to our newsletter or keep an eye on Twitter , Facebook and and Instagram for more updates on how to get involved.
