Bristol's green open homes event is back on 16-17 May 2020!
And we need your help to make this year even bigger, further-reaching, with even more impact. Only through a collective effort can we spread the word beyond the converted, and reach even more groups and communities.
Here’s how you can get involved:
- Open your home for Bristol Green Doors Weekend. If you’ve made changes to your home to save energy or reduce your environmental impact, we want to hear from you! Find more and get involved here.
- Volunteer! Event stewards play a crucial role in helping visitors and giving out information, find out more here.
- Spread the word! Send the link to this page www.bristolgreendoors.org/events to anyone that might be interested in opening, volunteering or attending.
- Follow and share our messages on Twitter , Facebook and Instagram
However you get involved, you’ll be helping drive forward the retrofit revolution!

About Bristol Green Doors
Bristol Green Doors open weekends are an opportunity to visit homes which have been made more comfortable, cheaper to heat and kinder to the environment. To see what can be done in a home just like yours, and hear from people who have already gone through the process.
For Bristol Green Doors 2019 , 12 homeowners across the city opened their doors to welcome hundreds of visitors into their homes and share their experience of installing a range of energy saving improvements. Read more about last year's event here.
Since 2010 thousands of people all over Bristol have visited green open homes at these free events, finding inspiration and real-life tips that they have gone on to use in their own homes.
As of 2018 Bristol Green Doors is run by Bristol-based charity, the Centre for Sustainable Energy, with funding from government as part of a new initiative called Futureproof.
Futureproof offers homeowners and contractors in the West of England a much needed independent, impartial and supportive service to help them carry out energy saving home improvements and refurbishments with confidence.
You can stay up to date with our events by signing up to our newsletter or keep an eye on Twitter , Facebook and Instagram for more updates on how to get involved.
